The Story of SixGuess
It started with a group text
Back in late 2023, three of us (Johnny Outlaw, Gracie Goodnight, and JayDubya) started texting each other our daily Wordle results. Johnny, a data developer with 25+ years of experience, wanted more than just a group chat. He wanted real stats, trends, and head-to-head records.
The Discord bot era
The next step was a Discord server with a custom bot. Players posted a screenshot of their daily results and the bot would OCR the image, reading the colored tiles to figure out guesses and attempt count. Results got saved to a Google Spreadsheet that fed a Tableau Public dashboard, refreshing nightly.

It worked, but it was riddled with problems. Players had to install Discord, join the server, and figure out how to post in the right channel. Then they had to remember to take a screenshot and upload it every single day. The hurdles were high, but we had a dedicated group of 17 players who posted their results nearly daily, logging over 3,700 games.

SixGuess
In March 2026, SixGuess launched. No more screenshots. No more Discord. No more waiting for a nightly refresh. Just open the app, play the puzzle, and your results show up on the leaderboard.
We're trying to take all the pain away from playing our favorite games with our friends and family. We're glad you're here and hope you'll join us.
